Stroller Strides

Demani and I are enjoying Stroller Strides. Demani is likely enjoying it more so...I am so sore!!! We have a lot of fun between the exercise and hanging out with a bunch of other moms and babies afterwards. We all sit there and nurse our babies. It's fun to chat with other moms. Sometimes we go to lunch together. Here's a pic of Demani and I at Stroller Strides. We are doing our cool down exercises. It's been a good week for us here. We enjoyed a day of really nice weather. Demani and I washed windows and screens on Tuesday!! We've enjoyed some of our meat that we picked up last weekend this week.

I was telling Mathwon last night that I couldn't be any happier...and that thanks to him I can say that I love my job. :)

Road trip

This weekend we went to see my aunt and uncle and grandpa and we saw Mathwon's dad and brother. We traveled with my mom and dad to PA to see the family and to pick up meat from Uncle Cal's farm. Demani did wonderfully! He was a traveling pro. We stopped once on the way down to feed him and he slept well at the hotel.

We were able to see my grandpa, Demani's great-grandpa. It was such a blessed time with grandpa. I want to visit him again soon. Grandpa was great with Demani and Demani loved him right back. You just can't put a price on those kind of moments...

Though it was a lot of driving it was good to see family and Mathwon and I were actually able to have conversations that went a bit deeper than feeding schedules and dirty diapers. It was a weekend well spent. Even though it was a busy weekend it seemed we slowed things down a bit and just spent time together.

Demani is 5 months old today! He is just about to roll over and can almost sit up on his own. He is very social and loves to squeal and laugh. He likes to touch everything now too! He is pure joy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Paddy's Day to you! Demani decided to get in the spirit, especially since it is Mom's birthday on St. Paddy's Day. His shirt says Happy Little Leprechaun. :)

This week we started Stroller Strides, an exercise program for moms and their babies. We meet at the mall and walk and do exercises that include baby. I admit I am a bit sore! I am enjoying it very much, in part because several of the ladies from our birth class go. We hang out afterwards and share stories and nurse our babies together. It is amazing how the interaction with other moms makes you feel sane!

Demani had a dr appt last week and he is 26 1/2 inches long! I think he is going to be built just like his daddy!

Crib Time

Yesterday was Mathwon's birthday :) Demani and I sang to him yesterday morning. Seriously, I was singing Happy Birthday and Demani was cooing the whole time. It was precious. Last night Demani slept in his crib for the first time for the whole night. He even woke up at one point, fussed a bit and then went back to sleep. Such a good little boy.

Tonight at small group Demani was loved on a lot. It was pretty neat to watch :) It's been a busy week already with two trips to the mall and lunch out with friends.

Last Saturday was our birth class reunion and it was such a great time seeing the parents with their little ones. We shared our stories and our babies. It is amazing how having kids, especially kids the same age, creates an instant connection.

It is crazy that Demani is 4 months already! What is even more crazy is how much I've changed in 4 months!
