Wow, 2009 has arrived! 2008 was a doozie of a year, in many ways, and as we reflect on it - we are thankful. Perhaps at some point I will get back to writing a bit more for the blog - at this point when I get a chance to get on I just upload the pictures and am done! I will tell you this, the other day I was getting ready to take Demani to the Discovery Center (an indoor play place) and I took a moment to put some makeup on since I was not taking the time to take a shower. Demani was hanging out in the bathroom with me and followed me out. I heard him talking but was not really listening...I started listening as we walked down the hall and he was saying, "You pretty. You pretty." Makes me cry as I type it now....he is just such a sweet, strong-willed little man. :) Life is made up of moments - the slobbery, full face grin from Seren and Mekai, Demani laughing his head off, sweet moments with family, playing Catch Phrase with my husband, (yes just the two of us, it was pretty funny). This is life. If we don"t listen, if we are moving too fast and miss the moments...then we really aren"t living we"re just moving. Take time to linger in the moments of pure joy that happen all around you.

Yeah for new pics!! I've been checking often! The one of our whole family turned out well. The one of the 5 of you looks good - I think this may be one of the first family photos I've seen in a while!
I wish I could've been a fly on the wall while you and Mathwon were playing catchphrase!! I love it. Love the good advice.

You're so right those little moments are so important. I can sometimes focus on the harder things and I miss those sweet sayings. Good word:)
